For the second year the Oasis Community held it's Burns Christmas celebration. The event was held in the Event Center but early on it was evident that they were going to need a bigger venue to accommodate all the participants. This year the event was held at the north gym and it didn't take long for it to fill up. The celebration had music provided by the Mennonite Acapella Chorus and several other small groups singing Christmas songs and entertaining the audience. There were several venders...

  • What a Difference a Year Makes

    Jim Merryfield

Last year the Burns Broncs basketball team was moved up into the 3A Conference. The pace and talent of the 3A class was something that the Broncs were not ready for. The team had a seasonal record of 5-21 and did not win a conference game all season. This year the team has had time to reevaluate their play and up the tempo of their game. What a difference. In their first tournament the Broncs went 4-1. With the new game plan, the Broncs were able to dominate the court and give notice to the 3A Conference that they are here and coming for you....
